The game design is a bit repetitive after each level you have to earn enough cash to fight the next guy which is fun the first three times but the tenth. It's pretty fun and the side activities make for a nice change of gameplay (when the side missions are a little repetitive in their design). Concerning the gameplay you can play the game either with a classic controller or with a PS Move (if you have one) both work well, of course the PS Move is more fun as the game was made for motion controls (with a controller you just tilt the joysticks in the indicated direction). The framerate is steady and there is apparently no bugs in the game. It is also important to remind that No More Heroes was originally a Wii game and therefore you can't expect it to have the same technical qualities that any PS3 game but nonetheless the Cel-shading style looks good enough the port was well done but you can see it came from the Wii with the emptiness of the city and levels in general. ![]() Whole new mode where you get to see the women of No More Heroes in a whole new sexy mode… So worth playing through twice.I'm a big fan of Suda 51, in fact I'm sure that if someday he had the budget of a big title (like GTA, Zelda, Assassin's Creed, etc.) he would I'm a big fan of Suda 51, in fact I'm sure that if someday he had the budget of a big title (like GTA, Zelda, Assassin's Creed, etc.) he would make a masterpiece, but for the moment let's see how it does with the "small" budget he has. So this is a real deal, with the extra content they give you with the inclusion of boss fights from No More Heroes 2, a whole bunch of T-Shirts to collect. The game only retails at forty dollars and Gamefly offers it to keep for only 23. It keeps it’s style and is really refreshing. Some like the older Wii ones but I gotta say it’s hard to not be pleased by how this game looks. Character designs are all unique and just show off some kind of spectacular graphics. ![]() Cel-shading HD is gonna be a big thing and Suda shows it off in this game giving it a bright vibrant color along with it’s style and color. The revamped graphics for the game are outstanding. Other than that the controls are solid and it reads movements on the stick just fine. Which can also be costly because some boss fights require you to keep your distance and it turns you in the wrong direction. The lock on can be a problem to because it can’t lock on to any target from far away. Sometimes it can't recognize when you are pressing a button or simply getting out a charge move which can be costly because your lightsaber battery will go out causing you to flee and make the fight a lot more harder than it should be. It is a lot like the any hack and slash game. Controls remain the same if you are playing with the move but what you really want to do is play with a controller. It was a simple hack and slash and that is why it was so good. On the Wii, why it was such a good title it did not focus to much on motion control. The entire roster of villians have a unique back story and you feel more into with their reasons for fighting and being an assassin. Cosplay, Destoryman, and the conflicting Bad Girl. Everyone you fight is just someone out of a classic movie. ![]() ![]() From the very showboaty Magician Harvey Moiseiwitsch Volodarskii, to the young school girl samurai, Shinobu. The bosses you fight are as diverse as any main stream title. Each assassin is unique and have a great story behind them and all have their own flair that makes them very different from the next. It shows off a very flashy and stylish story as you get toyed around by Sylvia Christel to go out and kill everyone. Now the story is actually a shining point in this game. You and Travis must go through the all ten to make it to the top as the number 1 assassin toyed around by Sylvia Christel and the UAA Association. No More Heroes tells the story of dopey otaku turned assassin, Travis Touchdown, must fight his way through the top ten assassin’s in America that coincidentally reside in the fictional city of Santa Destroy. This is way more than a port, because Suda 51 threw in some goodies that leave you guessing.įor those of you that aren’t cool. But there is nothing new here as this is a little more than a port of the original game No More Heroes that was released on the Wii back in 2007. Travis Touchdown is back with what would technically be his third installment in the No More Heroes. Gamewise… I think he could use some dough though.
